With nearly two decades of dedicated service at Retirement Resources, DJ stands as a trusted leader and financial guide to both clients and colleagues alike. As a Senior Partner and Investment Advisor Representative, DJ brings a deep commitment to client care, combining personalized financial planning with a strong emphasis on education and long-term strategy. Before entering the financial industry, DJ spent six years as a high school teacher and athletic director—a foundation that shaped his passion for coaching and mentoring. That same passion now drives his approach to financial advising. Whether helping clients navigate the complexities of retirement or leading initiatives as part of our Leadership Team, DJ’s focus is always on helping people thrive. In addition to his advisory role, DJ is a Registered Financial Consultant and a Certified Tax Preparer, equipping him with the insight to guide clients through tax-efficient retirement planning. His holistic approach helps clients make informed decisions with clarity and confidence. DJ’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Secondary Education from Northland Baptist Bible College, with earlier studies at Cornerstone University. He pursued postgraduate work at Central Michigan University and earned his financial services designation from Michigan State University. He also completed his tax preparation training through PCDI and is licensed for insurance and securities in the state of Michigan. Outside the office, DJ has spent over 20 years coaching both boys and girls basketball, recently earning a place in the Michigan Coaches Association “200 Win Club” for varsity girls basketball. He and his wife of 24 years, Jennifer, are proud parents to four children—Gwyn, Ava, Boston, and Cooper. The family enjoys life on the farm, outdoor adventures, road trips, and being active members of The Rock Church. With a heart for service and a mind for strategy, DJ brings leadership, experience, and integrity to every client relationship.
