With his sincere approach to financial planning, Nathan Lawson takes time to understand the needs and goals of his clients. Keeping their best interests in mind, he educates clients on their options, generates a plan, and by researching which companies have the best options for each client, makes sure they are confident with the financial plans for their futures. “I enjoy seeing someone go from overwhelmed and unsure to educated and comfortable,” he says. Nathan specializes in retirement planning, 401k/IRA rollovers and annuities. He also spends time with clients educating them on Medicare and life insurance. “I would rather do what’s best for a client and keep them happy for the next 30 years, than worry that they may find something better and lose trust in me,” Nathan says. Nathan prides himself on customer satisfaction and strives to be the type of advisor he would use himself. He believes the best way to keep clients informed and comfortable is with personal interaction. His clients are given his personal cell phone number, knowing they can call him 24/7. Nathan understands that contacting a financial advisor may take a few minutes of his clients’ time, but says it’s worth it because minor adjustments can be made to maximize incomes and cut unnecessary costs. “When I was a child our family struggled financially. I had to help support my mother and two younger brothers since the age of 6. We delivered the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News for 20 years at 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM everyday while going to school.” Nathan says. “I don’t like to see others struggling. I enjoy helping them out. I’m able to do that at this job and I love it.” Nathan is married to his wife, Josey, and has two daughters, 3 year-old Scarlett and 6-month old Jubilee. Nathan enjoys staying active and takes part in many community recreational leagues. He is also an active member in his congregation.
